Manager, User Acceptance

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Position Summary

The Manager of User Acceptance is a key member of the Product Management team overseeing acceptance testing of the Passenger platform to ensure usability and proper development execution of product requirements. Working closely with individual Product Managers, Client Services and Development the Manager of User Acceptance will manage UAT preparation and will drive execution of testing. The Manager of User Acceptance will be highly involved in the ideation of features and development of product strategy while working closely with the technology teams to drive resolution of defects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a solid understanding of the application, user functionality and ongoing business requirements.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the overall product portfolio, product features and an understanding of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to develop and continuously improve best practice-level testing process.
  • Lead UAT planning and execution activities and serve as overall point person from a User Acceptance Testing perspective
  • Work with Product Managers to develop UAT Test Strategy, UAT Test Plan, and execution schedule
  • Attend requirements sessions, design reviews, Product team meetings, and technical team meetings
  • Work with CS Operations to understand business requirements in order to guide development of effective UAT deliverables that fully test impacted business
  • Oversee the development of detailed UAT test conditions, scenarios, cases, and related data
  • Ensure UAT test are properly written and aligned to the changes related to the projects
  • Identify appropriate testers to engaged in the UAT process if needed
  • Communicate regularly with the IT Ops, QA team, Development team, and Product Managers to ensure the complete test strategy is executed
  • Manage tracking and resolution of defects along with the reporting of UAT execution results

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of software testing and/or product management experience.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organization, documentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to recognize, communicate and navigate multiple dependencies
  • Experience developing test plans and test cases
  • Experience with manual testing and analyzing test results.
  • Self motivated, proactive. Able to assimilate quickly and multi-task
